There were 102 press releases published by the U.S. Department of Labor in March.

The most recent press release, "US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration releases 2022 injury and illness data," was submitted on March 31.

The U.S. Department of Labor published 108 releases the month before, marking a 5.6 percent decrease for the current month.

The Department provides billions in unemployment insurance, which peaked around 2011 though spending had declined before the pandemic. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, claimed the Department funds "ineffective and duplicative services" and overregulates the workplace.

The proposed budget provides a significant boost to the DOL’s funding from $12.5 billion to $14.2 billion, a 13.6% increase.
