The following press release was published by the House Committee on Education and Labor on Aug. 24. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON - Today, Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement on the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) rollback of a Trump-era rule ensuring American workers have the opportunity to become informed about the consequences of union representation before voting in an election:

“If it means getting a pat on the back and sweet nothings whispered in its ear by its union handlers, the Democrat-run NLRB will bend over backwards to subvert the will of America’s workers. The agency should be placed on a very tight leash - it has run amok for far too long. Today’s final rule scrapping the commonsense reforms implemented during the Trump administration to provide workers ample time to educate themselves about union representation is disappointing, but far from surprising."
